Vibratory resonant conveyers

Insensitive to high temperatures, they carry very high capacities with low energy costs. They are synchronized to work close to the resonant frequency.

Revitran vibrating conveyors

Revitran® vibrating conveyors with crank-rod drive, type SKL and SKF, are used for conveying bulk materials over medium to long distances. They are suitable for use with cold or hot, medium or fine-grained materials, including light or extra-fine materials that cannot be conveyed by electromechanical or electromagnetic vibratory equipment.

They have been approved in various branches of industry. The principle of micro jumps is used for conveying, so that a flow is obtained that in a certain way even protects the material, such as iron beam tips, hot sand, incandescent castings, glass shards, synthetic fertilizers, steel shot, cold and hot sinter, machine parts, scrap metal, chips, etc.

Revitran® conveyors are built in such a way that, according to the type of execution, they are extremely resistant and insensitive to large temperature variations of the materials transported as well as to high ambient temperatures. They use coil springs as working springs, used thousands of times in the automotive industry. Steel springs are quite insensitive to temperature variations, unlike rubber springs, which are somewhat more sensitive.

The standard program of these conveyors maintains three types of execution for the chute that leads the material: welded chute (GS type) for low temperature and abrasive materials, bolted chutes with wear plates (AS type) for medium particle size and high abrasive materials, and hot chutes (HS type) for all hot materials.

The AS and HS types have rails in modular pitches to allow for quick replacement or expansion due to thermal expansion.

For special applications the conveyor chutes can be equipped with devices such as end caps, through-bottoms for sieving, non-stick coatings, etc. Special steels are also available, such as stainless steel AISI 304 or 316, including alloyed grades (304L and 316L) for pharmaceutical or food industry applications. The finishes range from plain painted to food-grade polished stainless steel. For process applications it is possible to equip the conveyors with double bottoms for heat exchange and conveying media such as water, oil or air.

Revitran conveyors can be mounted directly to the ground, preferably, or they can be built as a total isolation system where an equally vibrating counterbalance prevents the propagation of residual vibrations to the ground or structures.

The main data of these conveyors are:

  • Adjustable transport speed between 5 and 45cm/s
  • Vibratory frequency between 400 and 700 cycles per minute (vpm)
  • Range from 7 to 25mm
  • Flow rate up to 225m³/h

Special cases may have higher nominal flow rates.
