Foundry equipment

Foundries are probably the most demanding customers regarding vibratory equipment. The rugged and long lasting construction of these machines and all the special requirements have been met by Mavi, making us the Latin American leaders in this field.

The VIPROC sand-cooler with Uhde technology is a specially build vibratory conveyor which receives the hot sand from the shake-out operations. Through special perforated plates and a high performance ventilating system the sand stream is fluidized and a special misting section allows water to cool the hot sand additionally. All this controlled via computer or PLC. A temperature drop from 120 Celsius to 45 Celsius is possible, with a maximum capacity of 250 t/h.

VIBRAPEN sand screeners are practically a must in modern foundries in order to have a smooth castings finishing. Small cast iron droplets, core sand pieces and other material is removed from the cooled sand, returning first quality material to the molding operations.

ELMAVI and VICAL-A feeders are a constant presence in modern foundries, as equipment used for the continuous sand preparation units as well as for the furnaces charging operations. From coke to iron ore, scrap metal and silica sand stones are all perfectly handled by these machines.

The final product, the castings, are easely handled by vibratory equipment as well, specially as conveyors, cooler-conveyors an oil misting conveyors. Mavi´s REVITRAN coveyors and castings coolers are a presence in practically all Brazilian foundries since 1974.

DZF Delumpers are a very important part of sand recycling units in many foundries. Harsh core sand is submitted to high frequency grinding action , up tp 7 t/h core sand lumps.

Foundries using the shell molding system also benefit from Mavi´s expertise by utilizing steel shot coolers VIPROC type, compacting tables VIPAC and VICAL-T and REVITRAN conveyors for various applications.
